"Fantastic Thailand" was an apt name for the spectacularly colorful display of the Nang Nooch Tropical Botanic Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show

The display, which included a traditional festival temple as well as a small herd of baby elephants, was entirely covered in flower petals - millions of flower petals. Explanations of some of the symbolism, as well as elaborately decorated gongs, were placed in the four corners of the exhibit. But understanding what the Thailand floral display was about was less important than being completely overwhelmed by it. Not to everyone's taste - especially in 2011 which was a particularly restrained and tasteful show - but undeniably attention-getting.
